Trek - Friday, June 26th to Monday, June 29th
at the Michaux State Forest in Pennsylvania. Please mark your calendars!
Trek Fireside - Sunday, April 26th, 6:30 p.m at the Germantown Stake Center. PLEASE BRING YOUR COMPLETED REGISTRATION FORMS.
Pre-Trek Walk - Saturday, May 23rd 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Place: The bike/hike trail at Lake Needwood, Rock Creek Park: 15700 Needwood Lake Circle, Rockville, Maryland. Please arrive in time to complete the walk before the end of the scheduled time. The trek walk is necessary for all participants who are planning to attend Trek -- youth and adults. Individuals must be able to walk or run four miles in one hour. Make-up date Saturday, May 30th. 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Trek Reunion - Sunday, July 19th.

Notice:
Guests may through special permission attend our youth conference after all our stake youth are accounted for and when they receive approval from the Trek Youth Conference Chairman. They will need to be interviewed by your Bishop and also complete the pre-trek walk.
We ask that youth attend the entire conference with no early withdrawals or late comers to be able to experience all that trek has to offer.
All participants will need pioneer clothing. It's advisable to begin now to obtain clothing.
Participant’s Personal Clothing List
Dressing in pioneer clothing is an essential part of reenacting the experience of the early Saints. When you arrive on Friday, you will be wearing one set of clothing, and the other set you will use for Sunday. Buy as much of your clothing as possible at second-hand stores or make it yourself. Don’t wear clothing that you wouldn’t want stained or ruined.
MEN’S CLOTHING:
Pants – 2 pair cotton or khaki; No jeans or denim material pants.
Shirts – 2 pioneer-style, long sleeve (no T-shirts or logos)
Hat – 1 western-style hat (no baseball caps)
Suspenders
WOMEN’S CLOTHING:
Dresses – 2 long dresses with long sleeves or 2 long skirts with long sleeve blouses (dresses or skirts should be mid-calf length and full enough to walk in comfortably)
Bonnets – 1 or 2
Bloomers – 1 or 2 pair knee-length bloomers (can be made out of old pajama bottoms or hospital pants to protect your legs)
Apron, pockets recommended
Nightgown (optional)

Personal Equipment List
EVERYONE SHOULD BRING:
· 1 Large flour sack or duffel bag for your gear (line it with one of the plastic garbage bags and come with all your gear inside)
· 1 warm sleeping bag
· an old blanket (wool, if possible)
· 1 coat (depending on whether predictions)
· 1 good rain poncho
· enough plastic to serve as a ground cloth and shelter from rain
· 1 pair of tennis shoes (they will get wet and dirty)
· 1 pair of shoes to hike in (don’t buy new ones—they will give you blisters. Sturdy running or tennis shoes will work fine if you don’t have hiking shoes.)
· 4 pair sturdy socks
· 2 sets of under clothing
· 2 bandannas
· 1 pie plate and 1 large spoon
· 1 tin cup
· 1 small hand towel and comb or brush
· 1 toothbrush
· 5 band aids and prescribed medication only
· an old set of scriptures or church magazine
· 2 heavy-duty plastic garbage bags
· chapstick
Men should bring:
2 pair of wool or canvas pants
2 long sleeved shirts
1 western style hat (no baseball or army hats allowed)
1 old tie
Women should bring:
2 mid-calf length long sleeved dresses
1 or 2 bonnets
1 pair knee length bloomer (can be made out of old pajama bottoms or hospital pants)
1 apron
1 flannel nightgown
feminine hygiene supplies
Optional items:
1 old suit coat (men) or shawl (women) for Sunday Wear
camera and film
personal journal and pen or pencil
a pocket or sheath knife
insect repellent and sunscreen (nothing with a sunscreen factor less than 10)
a harmonica or other small musical instrument
Please arrive dressed in pioneer clothing. You will be wearing a set of clothing when you arrive, and the other set you will you wear for Sunday. Buy as much of your clothing as possible at second-hand stores. Don’t wear good clothing that you wouldn’t want to subject to heavy use.
